CLAVAM DROPS is used in infants for the management of various bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, bone and joint infections, middle ear infections (otitis media), tonsillitis, sinusitis, skin, and soft tissue infections such as cellulitis, animal bites, etc.

It contains a combination of medicines called Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid, which belong to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It works by preventing the growth of the bacteria, thus clearing up the infection.

CLAVAM DROPS is not recommended for children with a history of severe kidney impairment, history of liver problems, or jaundice after taking penicillin antibiotics. It should be used with caution in children suffering from glandular fever (viral infection causing sore throat, high fever, swelling of salivary glands), liver disease, or kidney disease who are not passing urine daily.

CLAVAM DROPS is for pediatric use only. It should be used with caution in neonates and infants less than 12 weeks of age. The most common side effects after giving CLAVAM DROPS are vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, and thrush (fungal infections).
